To say Netflix’s US trending list rankings have been locked lately would be a gross understatement. On the film side, Adam Sandler critically acclaimed sports drama Hustle was dominant. Television, on the other hand, has been ruled by stranger thingswho fell its well commented fourth season at the end of May. All good things must come to an end, because Sandler’s film has been dethroned! There are also a few other notable changes worth noting as the weekend kicks into high gear. So let’s take a look at those now.

Top 10 Movies on Netflix in the US – June 18, 2022

Hustle was relegated to second place by none other than the recently released Netflix Original spider head. The sci-fi thriller stars Chris Hemsworth and Miles Teller, who find Top Gun: Maverick director Joseph Kosinski. The film received somewhat mixed reviews, although one can assume that the star power gives it a nice boost. Coming third is Jennifer Lopez: half-time, which drops by one point. This doc has gained a lot of buzz, as Lopez gets candid on a number of topics (including tthe public’s apparent fixation with her buttocks). Also going down one position is Chickenhare and the Hamster of Darkness, a streamer original, as it is now in fourth place. And at No. 5. is a newly released thriller Collisionwho was fourth yesterday.

The Amazing Spider-Man now sits comfortably in sixth place after occupying fifth place, while Titanic maintains its hold on the seventh position. Meanwhile, Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol fell to the eighth from the sixth. (Honestly, we’ve seen Tom Crusie’s Ethan Hunt take even harder falls on the big screen). Elsa Pataky’s badass thriller Interceptor had a small gain, rising from tenth to ninth place. And No. 10 belongs to the drama film The wrath of God.

Top 10 TV Shows on Netflix in the US – June 18, 2022

Yes, stranger things is still at the top of the US TV trending list, and its reign could continue for quite a while. In just a few weeks, volume 2 of season 4 will arrive and answer all the questions viewers are currently asking. So don’t be surprised if the hit series lasts even longer. Led by Melissa McCarthy God’s Favorite Idiot and all american remain stable at second and third place, respectively. And the strange Be Gentle: Pray and Obey and First murder have changed places, the first being fourth and the second fifth.

True crime docuseries Web of Make Believe: Death, Lies, and the Internet holds its place in sixth, while the hit drama Peaky Blinders (which is a perfect showcase for late Helen McCrory) is always seventh. Iron Chef: Quest for an Iron Legend has progressed to eighth after being ninth yesterday. This last place now belongs to Lincoln’s lawyer, which loses a place. Finally, the Netflix drama You do not know me entered the list at No. 10.

  • 1. Stranger Things
  • 2. God’s Favorite Idiot
  • 3. All American
  • 4. Be gentle: pray and obey
  • 5. First Kill

  • 7. Peaky Blinders

With Chris Hemsworth at the helm, there’s a chance that spider head could remain at the top of the movie list for a while, with HustleSandman’s continued popularity, there’s a chance the Sandman could snipe and return to #1 at some point. And like stranger things continues its reign, I will keep an eye out for new TV productions like God’s Favorite Idiot and Web of Make Believe: Death, Lies, and the Internet, as they could make a loud noise. Be sure to keep checking back to see how things are going on the trending lists and, if you haven’t already, grab a Netflix subscription so you can gorge yourself on all that content.
