The biggest movies on Netflix in June 2021 according to the top 10

It’s time to look back on last month (June 2021) to see which movies topped the global top 10, in the US and everywhere else that we think is particularly interesting.

First, we need to cover a few caveats with this data. First, movies that come out around the beginning of the month will tend to do better as they have a higher chance of making the top 10 lists. On the global list, you will find that Netflix originals dominate due to their wide availability across the world. For example, if Netflix licenses Baywatch (which it has done in many regions this month), it is less likely to be at the top of the list because it is not available somewhere in the States. -United, for example.

If you’d like to take a look at a bigger scale, we’ve also compiled the year’s biggest movies and shows in a separate list.

United States Top 10 Movies On Netflix For June 2021

home netflix top 10s

As we stated above, animated films for children dominate most of the lists, but the United States is perhaps the country where they have dominated the most.

Home was the big winner for the United States this month, which was added on May 25, so he had the whole month to dominate the list.

Two other notable films on the American list are 2 hearts and The devil below which are not Netflix Originals but debuted exclusively on Netflix. Both are low budget movies and have performed well despite not having particularly strong reviews or audience scores.

What’s more interesting is that the Dreamworks deal is now in place, with most of the movies coming to Netflix now being part of the second window. Universal has yet to decide on the next longtime homes for their movies, but Netflix will definitely miss out on the animated titles if they can’t catch them.
