Netflix has announced that it will be releasing a new trailer for its upcoming television series based on the Resident Evil video game franchise in the coming days. Over the past year, Netflix has been steadily giving us new insights and information associated with this live-action adaptation of the survival horror series. And while we haven’t yet received a proper trailer for resident Evilthis trend will finally come to an end soon.
Taking to social media, Netflix revealed today that the first trailer for resident Evil will drop sometime tomorrow May 12th. The streaming platform didn’t say what time of day the trailer will drop, but said it will only be a teaser for the series. As such, this video probably won’t give us a complete idea of what resident Evil will have in store, but that should help paint a better picture of what to expect when this series lands on Netflix.

“Year 2036 – 14 years after a deadly virus caused a global apocalypse, Jade Wesker fights for her survival in a world overrun by infected and crazed bloodthirsty creatures,” reads the official description for resident Evil from Netflix. “In this utter carnage, Jade is haunted by her past in New Raccoon City, by her father’s chilling ties to the Umbrella Corporation, but most importantly by what happened to her sister, Billie.”
Although we haven’t seen anything substantial yet from resident Evil, Netflix has already announced when the series will arrive. Specifically, resident Evil is set to land on Netflix in the middle of this summer on July 14th. Along with tomorrow’s teaser, we should probably start seeing more trailers for the show in the coming months as its launch draws closer.
