Netflix to shoot Christmas movie in New Canaan

New Canaan will host a Hollywood production of the Christmas-themed Netflix film “The Noel Diary”.

According to a NewCanaanite.com blog post, a film crew will shoot scenes at a house in Wydendown Road this month and return to Main Street from June 27-28.

Main Street will be dressed to reflect the film’s holiday season decor and filming will take place overnight.

“The Noel Diary” stars Justin Hartley, Bonnie Bedelia and Treat Williams in a drama about a writer who discovers unexpected surprises about his family history while settling his late mother’s estate. The film is slated for release next year.
