Masters 2022 live stream: How to watch online, Tiger Woods start time and more

0

It’s time for Tiger Woods and his 3 woods to make the Masters 2022 live stream a must-watch, as he tees off at one of the most famous tournaments of the year. The iconic golfer has announced that he feels good enough to hit the tee this year, to try and prevent Japan’s Hideki Matsuyama from defending his 2021 victory.

Masters 2022 Live Stream

The 2022 Masters Golf Tournament begins today (Thursday, April 7) at 8:15 a.m. ET. In the United States, ESPN will broadcast Opening Day live starting at 3 p.m. ET. And you can watch your country’s coverage wherever you are in the world by grab a VPN (opens in a new tab).

And Woods believes his appearance at the 2022 Masters will be different from the 2020 edition, when he landed tied for 38th place. This time, Woods thinks he can win, as he told reporters on Tuesday. Although we doubt Tiger will ever claim he has no chance of winning the green jacket. And it would be his sixth.

But, dear reader, there’s plenty of rust for Woods to come off. He did not play in any tournament since the 2020 Masters, which took place in November of the same year (due to pandemic-related delays).

Oh, and what about Matsuyama? Well, it happens without the favor of the experts. The favorite for the 2022 Masters is rather the American Brooks Koepka. Not only does Cupcake (a moniker he only recently started adopting with his own merchandise) have a habit of impressing the majors, he comes into this year’s edition with something to prove after being cut last year.

The Spaniard Jon Rahm is also to be watched since he is in the top 10 of the last four Masters (4, T9, T7 and T5). His putting game is arguably his biggest enemy.

Unfortunately, severe thunderstorms overnight delayed the start of the 2022 Masters, with tee times all pushed back by 30 minutes. Honorary starters will now depart at 8:15 a.m. ET, with the first group at 8:30 a.m.

The good news is that there are plenty of ways to tune in to a Masters live stream from anywhere in the world. Here’s how to watch the 2022 Masters live stream online (oh and we’ve got all the MLB 2022 live stream details too, because baseball is back!).

If you’re in the US and want to watch a Masters live stream of the entire tournament, the simple answer is that you need CBS and ESPN. The latter gets rounds 1 and 2, and the former gets round 3 and the final round.

If you already have CBS on cable, that’s fine: just head to the CBS website and log in with your cable credentials, and you’ll be able to watch a live stream of The Masters online.

ESPN Plus will also have live coverage of the Masters over all four days, including “a stream of the 4, 5, 6, 15 and 16 holes of the course”, which “focuses on each of the holes separately rather than following the golfers .”

If you’ve cut the cord, you can watch a live broadcast of The Masters via a live TV streaming service. We suggest watching FuboTV, as it includes both ESPN and CBS in its starter plan. For $65, you get 122 channels, including ABC, FOX, and NBC, plus sports channels like NFL Network, Big Ten Network, and Golf Channel.

Alternatively, you can tune in to the final round of the 2022 Masters live stream via CBS’ Paramount Plus streaming service. You need the Premium plan at $9.99 per month for this.

And don’t forget, if you’re usually based in the US but aren’t home right now, you can still watch the services you subscribe to using a VPN like ExpressVPN. (opens in a new tab).
