Rapper and actor Ludacris has revealed he was motivated to do a second season of his Netflix show Karma’s World because he wanted more “representation” on TV.
The 44-year-old, known for his career in hip-hop and playing Tej Parker in the Fast and Furious franchise, said he hopes the show will inspire his five daughters by allowing them to see each other on the screen.
“The important thing for me was the representation; I wanted my daughters to see themselves on TV,’ he told Daily Mail Australia.

“I think I’m part of the Fast and Furious franchise, and having so much inclusivity and diversity, I used that to get into Karma’s World,” he added.
“These are based on things my daughter has actually been through, these are experiences she has had and it gives parents an opportunity to have great conversations.”
Chris is the father of Shaila Scott, 25, whose mother has not been identified, Karma Bridges, 20, whom he shares with his ex Christine White, and Cai Bella Bridges, eight, whose mother is Tamika Fuller.
He also shares six-year-old Cadence Gaelle Bridges and eight-month-old Chance Oyali Bridges with wife Eudoxie Mbouguiengue, 35.

During his journey through fatherhood, Ludacris said he felt inspired to focus on the pressing issues that impacted his daughters’ lives growing up.
“We talk about body positivity and being a leader and how to do it — because you can’t please everyone,” he said of the upcoming season of Karma’s World.
Ludacris, real name Christopher Brian Bridges, said his own parenting had run into difficulties but was happy to offer advice to fellow dads.

“You’re always going to feel the emotion that your kids are feeling,” he said.
“Just give them positive reinforcement, let them know how unique they are, and explain the choices they make and the friends they have around them.”
Ludacris also opened up about his feelings for the Fast and Furious family.
He spoke warmly of his late friend Paul Walker, saying he kept the actor’s memory alive by spending time with his surviving family members.

“Paul and I, our birthdays are one day apart. Being Virgos, our personalities are so similar. I just miss his calm; he always balanced me,” he said.
But beyond their on-screen time, he said the couple had more in common off-screen.
“I think what’s so great is that we worked in the same industry, but when we were off set, we were just very simple beings,” Ludacris said.
“We just wanted to be with our families. For us, it was and is about spreading love and helping the planet. I miss his energy so much.
And one of the ways he pays tribute to his late co-star is by staying in close contact with Paul’s daughter, Meadow Rain Walker.

“His daughter is the sweetest person. She’s around us all the time, she comes on set and just seeing her happy, that says a lot,’ he said.
“For us, that’s all we want to do, because for us, that’s all Paul would have wanted – for her to be the happiest person she could be.”
Paul died in a car accident on November 30, 2013, while sitting in the passenger seat of a Porsche. He was 40 and Meadow was only 15.
“It’s consistent, that’s the thing with Fast and the Furious — we look like family on camera — but we’re even more like family off camera,” Ludacris added.
