Netflix confirmed on Monday that Lindsay Lohan has been cast to star in an untitled holiday romantic comedy, directed by Janeen Damian and produced by MPCA, the streamer’s favorite Christmas photo producer.
This will mark a return to comedy for Lohan, the Bad girls and The parents trap star who has been away from camera roles most of the time lately. The plot centers on a newly hired and spoiled hotel heiress (Lohan) who has a skiing accident and, suffering from amnesia, finds herself in the care of a handsome lodge owner and her precocious daughter in the days leading up to Christmas.
No other casting was announced Monday by Netflix. Jeff Bonnett, Ron Oliver, Janeen Damian and Michael Damian wrote the screenplay.
MPCA has produced several Netflix vacation photos, including the A christmas prince movies, Princess Switch movies, Operation Christmas Drop and the next one A castle for Christmas. Brad Krevoy of MPCA and Michael Damian of Riviera Films are the producers of the new photo, with Amanda Phillips and Eric Jarboe as executive producers.
Variety premiered today to the cast about Lohan, whose last major project was facing the MTV reality series Lindsay Lohan Beach Club which aired one season in 2018-19.
