Lindsay Lohan Returns To Act For Netflix Holiday Rom-Com

Lindsay Lohan, who has been onscreen occasionally for many years, has been cast to star in an unnamed holiday romantic comedy, confirmed by Netflix on Monday. Fans know Lohan for his roles in movies like Freaky Friday, mean girls, and The trap of parents. The unnamed holiday romantic comedy will be directed by Janeen Damian (Hallmark Channel’s A Christmas waltz); it will also be his directorial debut.

In the days leading up to Christmas, a newly engaged and spoiled hotel heiress (Lohan) who has had a skiing accident and suffers from amnesia finds herself in the care of a handsome lodge owner and his brilliant daughter. No other cast member has yet been announced by Netflix.

The film will be produced by MPCA, the streamer’s go-to Christmas film producer. MPCA has created a number of Netflix Holiday Movies that include A Christmas Prince, The Christmas Switch, Operation Christmas Drop, and the next one A castle for Christmas.

Lohan has had occasional acting jobs since early 2010, most notably in Paul Schrader’s 2013 film, Canyons, 2014 Speed-the-plow, and recurring in the 2018 British TV comedy Medical certificate. She also starred in the MTV 2019 reality show. Lindsay Lohan Beach Club while appearing as a judge on the Australian edition of The masked singer the same year.

Production will begin in November, so unfortunately that means the film will not be available for viewing during the 2021 holiday season.
