What there is to know
The Philadelphia Eagles will look to defend their home turf on Monday against the Minnesota Vikings at 8:30 p.m. ET. The game is expected to be close, with the Eagles only a 2-point favorite.
Philadelphia certainly made a big deal out of it, but they managed to escape with a 38-35 win over the Detroit Lions last Sunday. Philadelphia QB Jalen Hurts threw it as he racked up 243 passing yards in addition to rushing for a TD and 90 yards. Hurts ended up with a passer rating of 120.
Meanwhile, while not quite a landslide, Minnesota’s game against the Green Bay Packers last Sunday was still pretty decisive as Minnesota wrapped it up with a 23-7 victory at residence. The team racked up 17 points in the first half and relied on those for the win. Minnesota WR Justin Jefferson was one of the most active players on the team, catching nine passes for two touchdowns and 184 yards.
Special teams had 11 points for Minnesota. K Greg Joseph delivered a perfect 3-on-3 match.
Philadelphia fell far behind the Vikings when they played when the teams met three seasons ago, losing 38-20. Maybe the Eagles will have better luck at home than on the road? Watch the contest and check back on CBS Sports for all the details.
