Fans loved it Extraction, so news of a sequel being made with Chris Hemsworth back in the lead role was met with a pretty warm response. However, many fans can’t help but wonder how this can be possible, given that it appeared Hemsworth’s Tyler Rake had died with no chance of recovery. However, some viewers may have missed that at the very end of the original film, it was teased that Tyler may have in fact survived. Either way, the sequel confirms his survival and sets the hero on another action-packed journey.
Released on Netflix in 2020, Extraction is directed by Sam Hargrave. It comes from a story by the Russo Brothers and Ande Parks with Joe Russo writing the screenplay. Starring Hemsworth, the film stars Rudhraksh Jaiswal, Randeep Hooda, Golshifteh Farahani, Pankaj Tripathi and David Harbour. The film was a big hit with Netflix viewers, attracting strong viewership and quickly prompting the streamer to order a sequel.
Extraction can be found streaming on Netflix. Extraction 2 does not yet have a release date.
