Netflix sends teenage matchmaker Kitty Song-Covey halfway around the world for a romantic adventure all her own. But as she moves to South Korea to reunite with her long-distance boyfriend, Kitty will soon learn that “relationships are much more complicated when it’s your own heart that’s at stake.”
This disturbing warning comes directly from the logline of XO, Kittya new spin-off series from the popular streamer To all the boys I’ve loved before movies. The 10-episode first season of the half-hour comedy has officially started production in Seoul, with Anna Cathcart reprising her title role as Lara Jean’s younger sister.
Join Cathcart as series regulars on XO, Kitty are Choi Min-yeong (Dream Palace) as Dae, Anthony Keyvan (Love, Victor) as Q, newcomer Gia Kim as Yuri, newcomer Sang Heon Lee as Min Ho, Peter Thurnwald (the next Players) as Alex, and Regan Aliyah (Mickey Mouse club) as Juliana.
Recurring players include Yunjin Kim (Lost) as Jina, Michael K Lee (Law and Order: SVU) as Professor Lee, and Jocelyn Shelfo (the upcoming Prime Video film The summer when I became pretty) like Madison.
No additional details have been revealed about any of the characters above.
Jenny Han and Sascha Rothchild are co-showrunners of XO, Kitty, executive producer alongside ACE Entertainment’s Matt Kaplan. Jennifer Arnold, Jeff Chan, Pamela Romanowsky, and Katina Medina Mora are set to direct the show’s first season.
