Ashton Kutcher Joins Reese Witherspoon’s Netflix Movie “Your Place Or Mine” – Deadline


EXCLUSIVE: Ashton Kutcher to star alongside Reese Witherspoon in Netflix romcom Your place or mine based on the original screenplay by Aline Brosh McKenna (The devil wears Prada, crazy Ex-Girlfriend) who is also making her directorial debut on the project.

In Your place or mine, two best friends who live on opposite coasts exchange homes for a week and see their whole life change. Deadline first reported Jason Bateman and Michael Costigan’s agreement on Aggregate Films to co-produce Witherspoon’s Hello Sunshine. Bateman and Costigan will produce on their first Netflix contract alongside Witherspoon and Lauren Neustadter for Hello Sunshine and McKenna for Lean Machine.

Aggregate Ozark The series, in which Bateman stars, directed and produced, recorded a third season that was watched by 29 million WW households in its first four weeks. Ozark has three Primetime Emmy wins: one for Bateman in 2019 for directing the drama series and two for Julia Garner in the Best Supporting Actress category. Last fall, Netflix acquired the comedy feature film Student driver, an original pitch by writer Peter Hoare (Stand up, Fall down) and Aggregate Films by Jason Bateman. Bateman recently starred in the Netflix comedy Melissa McCarthy-Octavia Spencer Thunder force.

Witherspoon’s Hello Sunshine was acquired yesterday by a company backed by private equity giant Blackstone Group for $ 900 million. The new business will be led by former Walt Disney Co. executives Kevin Mayer and Tom Staggs, with Hello Sunshine as the first acquisition. Witherspoon and Hello Sunshine CEO Sarah Harden will join the board of directors of the yet to be named company and continue to operate Hello Sunshine. Notable Hello Sunshine Credits Include Apple The morning show, which has a second season coming up, and HBO Big little lies and Hulu limited series Small fires everywhere.

Kutcher is replaced by CAA, Untitled Entertainment and Sloane, Offer, Weber & Dern. He is nominated for the SAG ensemble for the 2007 film Police officer, and starred in hits such as What Happens In Vegas, Valentine’s Day, Without Attache and New Years Eve. His TV credits include 80 episodes of Netflix series The ranch on which he also serves as EP, 84 episodes of Warner Bros. TV and CBS ‘ Two and a half men, and 183 episodes of This spectacle of the 70s. As an EP he was the originator of series such as Punk’d and Beauty and the Geek.
