An adaptation of the hit West End show of the same name and based on a true story, Everybody’s Talking About Jamie focuses on titular Jamie New (Max Harwood), a college student who dreams of becoming a drag queen – and who plans to ” attend the drag ball, despite opposition from his school. He was helped along the way by his mentor Hugo, aka Loco Chanel (Richard E. Grant), his best friend Pritti (Lauren Patel) and his loving mother Margaret (Sarah Lancashire).

With Krysten Ritter as a witch named Natacha, Nightbooks follows a young boy named Alex (Winslow Fegley) who has a knack for writing spooky stories. When the elevator in her apartment building takes her to a mysterious floor, Natacha traps her and asks her for a scary new story every night. Along with his new friend Yasmin (Lidya Jewett), Alex must try to survive the ordeal – and ultimately escape the witch’s clutches. The film is based on the novel of the same name by JA White. The 91-year-old actor plays and directs Cry Macho, the story of Mike Milo, an aging rodeo star who is hired by a former boss to travel to southern Mexico to take his son away from his abusive mother. For some, the long road back home will lead back to a slower, more deliberate style of storytelling where the scenery is king. For many, it will be the occasion to celebrate the rich career of Clint Eastwood. If this is one of his last rodeos in front of the camera, this is a good way to switch off.
