Another week has passed and the weekend is finally upon us. If you’re anything like me, that means this is your chance to keep up to date with the latest Netflix shows and movies.

From new reality TV to Liam Neeson’s new film The ice road, Netflix gives you everything this weekend! Here’s your list of shows and movies to air from June 25-27, 2021.

This week has been busy at the streaming giant with the release of Netflix 14 new shows and movies, the goal of our list is therefore to help you narrow your list down to the ones you should be looking for first. One of the best things Netflix has done recently was add the top 10 list and three of our picks have been on those lists before.

Of course, if you missed last week’s roster, be sure to check out the Kevin Hart movie. Paternity which receives excellent reviews so far and Black summer season 2 lives up to the hype of season one!

Without further ado, here are the five Netflix shows and movies you should watch this weekend along with their release dates:

New Netflix Movies and Shows This Week

  • It’s pop: Season 1, June 22
  • Too hot to handle it Season 2, June 23
  • Good on paper (film), June 23
  • Murder on the coast (documentary), June 23
  • The ice road (film), June 25

The hottest show of the week

Reality shows have been very successful for Netflix, and Too hot to handle it is one of the most popular of the group. Currently holding a spot in Netflix’s Top 10, Season 2 is trying something different. This week the first 4 episodes of the series have been released and the remaining episodes will be released next week.

If you’re unfamiliar with the show’s premise, 10 hot singles fly off on a vacation retreat where they expect to mingle, mingle, and be promiscuous. However, when they arrive they are told that if they want a shot at $ 100,000, they must remain single for the duration of the four week retreat.

The hottest movies of the week

Iliza Shlesinger movie Good on paper is already in the Netflix top 10 this week. The romantic comedy was written by and stars Shlesinger and is directed by Shineis Kimmy Gatewood. The film is a true love story “mostly”, according to its poster, about a hard-working comedian who meets a guy who appears to be too good to be true.

The other big movie this week is the adventure / thriller directed by Liam Neeson The ice road. The film sees Neeson as an ice trucker in Canada who kicks in to save a group of miners who are trapped after a diamond mine collapses.

Neeson’s character must cross the frozen ocean to save the miners while the ice is already melting. This movie looks intense and if there’s one thing Liam Neeson does well, it’s making sure you feel the intensity!
